Re: Bought the Boat

I just looked up your boat on sailboatdata.com.

I truly hope you have the shoal draft, which indicates it is at 5.0 ft. If you have the regular one, your going to have trouble in the ICW; it would have to be a very, very careful trip.

The same goes for sailing in the Bradenton/Tampa Bay area. Make sure you watch your charts AND your depth finder religiously, there are just way too many shoals around; fortunately they are soft (don't ask me how I know).

If you do not have it, get Seatow insurance. It's cheap, and I would not be without it in Florida.

What a great interior design though. I understand the quivering of the thighs.

Re: Bought the Boat

I second getting some kind of tow insurance. And only buy the top of the line one, the entry insurance doesn't cover crap.

So long as you're happy, to hell with everyone else.

Enjoy your boat and happy sailing ahead.

Doesn't every boat have a problem at one point or another? Or do you have a magic boat that requires no repair or maintenance? Oh, wait, I get it. You're trying to make me feel bad about my new boat. Nice.
