Buying a Beneteau Sense 43, live aboard, cruising, first boat

I am a software developer looking to move to the med and live aboard a boat. I have gone sailing several times, got ASA certification and chartered boats. After some research I have my eyes set on a Beneteau Sense 43 (though am open to other suggestions). I have a couple questions I was hoping you guys could help me with.

1) Is this a good boat for med sailing? Could I cross back stateside with an Atlantic crossing and check out the Caribbean in a few years?

2) When is the best time to buy? Should I really wait until fall or winter for the best deals?

3) What is a good price to pay? I'm looking to spend around 150,000, 60,000 cash 90,000 loan. Do you think I can get that price?

4) Is 43 feet a good size? Is it too big to single hand and live aboard?

Most of the time I'll be at dock and doing day sails, occasionally changing marinas.
