C&C 33mk2 rod rigging

C&C 33 mk 2 rod rigging question does anyone know how to align the stanshion rod rigging - uppers go to the back, middle in the middle and lowers in the front. This is how they are shown in an old manual but I see that most C& C 33 mk2 boat have them set uppers to the back, middle in the middle and lowers to the front. Does anyone know the proper way and why the uppers and lowers would be in the position you are recommending. Thankyou Hector

I owned that boat for 14 years. If I recall the shrouds only fit one way through the ends of the spreaders so that dictates which one goes where. The last thing you want to do is to have the shrouds cross each other.

Re: C&C 33mk2 rod rigging

If I am reading you OP correct you say the manual and the way you are seeing others rigged are the same. Uppers rear, middle to middle, lowers to front. If so than what is your question?

On my boat the pins are larger on the uppers then the lowers. If you haven't look closely at yours, it might answer the question.

Outside of that I would think the manual would be correct. Is there an owners forum.

Good luck

Foster
