C&C Landfall 42

We would value people's opinions and experience on the C&C Landfall 42. We are a middle aged couple who intends to use the boat for short cruises (2-7 days) on the Great Lakes. We are particularly interested in learning about the boat's sailing characteristics.

Thanks!

Kate

I almost bought one but the only one available in my price range had a strange layout for cruising, no chart table but bunk beds in the walk through.

Many C&Cs were fast cruisers or racer cruisers. The Landfall 42 I would call a fast cruiser but it is an older design and not as fast as many newer boats. It has a moderate draft, modified fin keel so points reasonably well but again, not like a racer.

They also came with rod rigging. A little less weight aloft but I'm more familiar with wire and wire fittings.
