Cal 27 Question

Dumb question but...Where is the fueling access suppose to be located? I just saw a boat with it in the floor of the cockpit which seemed odd.

Usually on the deck at the gunnel around the cockpit area on most production boats. Many sailboats have the fuel tank under the cockpit sole.

Re: Cal 27 Question

Many , many older boats had them jn cockpit sole so any spill could be washed out the scuppers . Now you will go to jail for that !

Re: Cal 27 Question

The Cal 29/30 fuel fill was on the starboard gunnel. Not sure on the 27, however the floor of the cockpit is not uncommon.

Re: Cal 27 Question

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, dazedandintune.

ABYC H-33.12.7. Fuel fill(s) shall be located and oriented so that no fuel can enter the boat when in the static floating position ...
