Camper Nicholson

Im looking at a Camper Nicholson 35 with a bad tranmission. Any thoughts on the quality of these boats, I mean in terms of upkeep and as a cruiser.

They were built to Lloyd's Standards so should be no problem with strength. Have liked the design and apparent suitability for long distance sailing. When we were in French Polynesia there was a couple who'd sailed over from England via Panama. They were planning on a circumnavigation but didn't follow them so don't how they fared. They had nothing but good things to say about their boat.
