Question Can someone help me identify this 1977, 7.7m monohull?

Hello!

Can someone help me identify this monohull sailboat?
I just cannot find it online using only the info. this seller has provided so far...

The boat is located over here in Latvia.

The seller's ad online states the following:

Model: North
Length: 7.7m
Year built: 1977

Any guesses or new information/leads will be greatly appreciated!

Ultimately, I am just trying to get all the basic info. on the boat, like its displacement, ballast weight, number of berths, the capsize screening number, etc.. (I am looking for something at least somewhat ocean-worthy, i.e., with a capsize screening of around 1.8-2.0.)

Thanks!
-J

On the bright side, the trailer is worth a look.

Without more data, its difficult..

Hi, TGK, and welcome to the forum!

Perhaps you could ask the seller to send you a picture of the hull identification number (HIN) if it is visible, often etched into the transom. With that, you might be able to confirm the make and year using an online HIN decoder.

I looked through sailboatdata.com for anything with North in the name, but none of the entries closely matched your pictures.

You are looking for something "somewhat ocean-worthy". There is a lot work between the boat in those pictures and your goal, regardless of the specs.

Best wishes in your search! Be sure to check out this thread: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ts-259980.html

Thanks for the response, JoeRobertJr!

Yes, I'm aware that there's certainly a lot that must be done with this boat.

I, too, just spent more time searching online for this boat...
-Checked pretty much all entries for 25-footers on sailboat.guide, to no avail.....

And I will ask him for more pictures and info., and I'll likely just go see it in the coming days.

-Cheers.
