Sorry I truly don't mean to diminish the sailor's accomplishment. I wouldn't have the cojones to do that even the "easy" way.. so I am just jealous .. it is just that I remembered that passage immediately from his book as I read that.

Yes, a very small world.... if it hadn't been raining I would have been out walking when that was posted.... and it would have scrolled off into the outer reaches of cyberspace..

A very small world down in the south.... fewer than 20 boats stay down there long term ... maybe 20 a year pass through... most tend to be distinctive....

Identification helped by knowing them socially and having been rafted up alongside them more than a few times...

Chance is a wonderful thing......

To update from my previous request, the owner has been in touch with me. I have uploaded a video to Youtube, if anyone is interested in seeing the Isfuglen rounding the horn.
