Re: 'Cement' Boats

Thank you for pointing out the value of rust. During the 70's the steal and cement industry documented the effect of molecular bonding of cement and iron oxidation. They discovered the cement took on some of the properties of steal by molecular bonding to the FeO2. Accordingly the land based construction industry abandoned the old practice of sand-blasting re-bar for reinforced cement construction. The result is the steal reenforced structures have grater torsional strength. Torsional strength is exactly what is needed in a sea worthy vessel.
