My list of requirements for a yacht was very similar to yours. In the end we bought something quite different.

After looking for the right yacht for about 2 years my strategy changed. I decided to look for the yacht (capable for the purpose I wanted) in the best condition.

Because all boats need constant maintenance I did not want to catch up on the maintenance not done by the previous owner. Instead I spent my time modifying the boat to suit me. I removed the dodger and built a wheelhouse over the cockpit.

So I think the best buying strategy is to buy the best maintained boat for your budget. Do not get captured by a list of must haves.

A Taswell 49 All Season just popped up at Devalk, in Hindeloopen. It needs some love, but the list price seems pretty reasonable.

Hey I've seen pics of a British boat called a Seastream 43. I believe they were finished in different yards so fit-outs may vary, but might be interesting...
