Charter Management Programmes - Pros and Cons?

Waiting to become one of you (I will retire in 3 years), I am thinking about the boat to choose to sail with my wife initially in the Mediterranean and then who knows..
I would be oriented on a boat between 45 and 50 feet used but not too much.
Do any of you have experience and advice to give me regarding the management programs that many charter companies offer? There are several formulas that in short reduce the price of the new boat to 50%, cancel the management costs and leave the owner up to 12 weeks per year of enjoyment.
Are they a possible buying alternative?
Pros and cons?

Given the impact on Covic 19 and everyone's travel and holiday plans this year, I wonder how successful chartering will be over the next couple of years in the Med.

Why not buy a simple yacht for weekend and holiday sailing now to learn the ropes and buy a second hand yacht in 3 years time. You will then have 3 years of experience and a wide range of yachts to choose from.
