CL 36, or C&L 36 - Slow and underpowered?

Hi all,

Looking at a CL 36 (Sailboat data says also known as a Peterson 36) but the figures and one link I've now lost says the boat is slow and underpowered. I don't need to go anywhere real quick but also don't want a really slow yacht.

No personal knowledge, but with a SA/D of ~10.5 it will be woefully slow in anything less than a fresh breeze. That's way down in motor sailor territory, but with only 35 hp it does kinda lack in the motor part of that descriptor!
