Classic Wooden Boat Identification

Hello Forumites

I wondered whether anyone would be able to help me identify this vessel that I have been tasked with rebuilding (I finish my boatbuilding course in June and thought I'd be an interesting project).

She is 20' LOA with a 7'5" beam. Looks to be Larch on unspecified steamed/bent frames. A bowsprit and gaff rig are present. A full keel with what looks like iron ballast is teamed with a wood lifting keel. She is situated in the UK and is minus a deck. An inboard engine must have been fitted previously as a prop shaft hole is evident coming out of the port quarter area.

Any information or suspicions would be much appreciated as I have almost run out of google image suggestions .

Robert

Re: Classic Wooden Boat Identification

By George, boatman61 I think you've done it.

excellent, this will speed the project up nicely. I havent read the text yet but if its on the eventide website would that suggest it to be a maurice griffths design? (which was my initial guess due to the high bow and shear).

Thanks again

Robert

*Just read the text to find she's an Alan H Buchanan not a Maurice Griffiths, silly me
