Compac 35 or Sabre 362 ?

We currently have a 27ft sloop and interested in moving up in order to do more cruising. Our home port is Oxford, MD. We are looking for a boat that will be comfortable enough to be our weekend home, but also fun to sail in multiple wind conditions. While we will spend most time in the Chesapeake and therefore need relatively shallow draft, we are also hoping to cruise up and down the coast including up to New England.

Any thoughts on pros and cons or these two boats or suggestions for others? We want a boat newer than 1996. Thanks!

Re: Compac 35 or Sabre 362?

While I've never owned one, I've crawled around in several and I have always been quite impressed with the build quality and attention to detail in Com-Pac yachts. I lusted after one of their 23-footers years ago, but couldn't afford it and settled for a Clark, San Juan. If there was a Com-Pac 35 available in my price range, in this area, right now, I would snap it up.
