Contest 35S or Contest 36S ?

Does anyone have a view on which Contest (the 35S or the 36S) is better for singlehanding ? Cruising area is the med and shoal draft would be useful in case I decide to go through the french canals. I also plan to add an extra forestay so I can convert to a solent rig - self tacking 90% jib with a big gennaker for light wind work. I have found in the past this rig works brilliantly in the med, where there is usually either too much wind or too little.

Thanks.
