Dropped mast, shallow keel, Amsterdam and beyond

Hi All,

I own a Bavaria 40.

I've moved to Amsterdam. Those 2 facts are incompatible.

I am looking at the canal boats and they're all steel bottom rectangles, or old sailing shells with a small fore cabin. The latter seems like the obvious choice.

However I'm now looking at a tiny 5-7 metre boat, with a shallow keel for the canals. Something that you can remove the mast and rigging on, and then a couple of times a year rig up and go heading off in to the countryside. That seems like the ultimate answer and I feel like its something that should exist and work?

Does anyone have any suggestions on a make and model? Ideally with an outboard and in the 6k euros or less region.

Think of something a bit old but fun. The same direction I'm heading in.
