Education for Florida Keys

Hi all, I own a Macgregor 26M. I will arrive in Florida about the 20th of December. I plan to explore the Keys. I have a few questions as I have never been there. Where is a good launch ramp for a jumping off point? Where is a good place to store my truck and trailer while I am out? Is 2 or 3 weeks long enough? I have more time if needed. thanks for any help.

Re: Education for Florida Keys

I don't know the answers, but I'm interested as well. I'd wild a guess it might be more reasonable, price wise, to launch from a marina on one of the more northerly keys, and arrange to park the truck and trailer in the marina's storage lot for a fee. Perhaps you could arrange with a marina to call them on a certain date, and let them know how many more weeks you might be out. I'm envious - should be a lot of fun-

I suggest checking with Blackpoint Marina on Biscayne Bay in Miami. There is also Caribbean Club on Key Largo to check with. Good luck and have fun. The bayside of the Keys are awesome to explore, and you have a perfect boat to explore the back country.
