endurance 35 cutter winch placement

bought a project endurance 35 cutter in gibson bc last spring, no sheet winches installed , came with 2 large self tailing and 2 smaller winches, came with some hardware for self tacking staysail , i have only limited experience sailing a 22' sloop, should larger winches be forward or aft beside cockpit, also not sure of gen track placement , boat has mast and rigging but not installed yet

Re: endurance 35 cutter winch placement

Welcome!

You're going to want the big winches by the cockpit, for headsail trimming. Although as to exactly where, that depends upon the cockpit's layout, & your preferences.
Likely the smaller ones are for hoisting the sails.

That said, your wisest move would be to hire a rigger for an hour or three. To go over these questions, & the many, many more you'll come up with. Plus, you can have him inspect your gear at the same time. And make recommendations, etc.

And, more than likely, there are some boat savvy folk nearby, who'll be happy to assist you.
