Experiences with Surveyor - SW FL ?

The good news is that after almost a year of looking and research, I have a bid that is likely to be accepted on a boat. We should know in the morning.... talk about being on edge!!! Like waiting to become a father!!

The broker has already offered to recommend a surveyor, but as posted in other threads there is a conflict of interest in if I go that route. So the big question is.........

Does anyone have direct experience (good or bad) with surveyors in SW Florida? There was a recent thread about catamaran surveyors, but I am looking at a 37' monohull.

Since posting negative information about surveyors could raise issues, please PM me any guys to avoid.
