Fill In the Blank: Yamaha boats Are _______________

greetings cruisers,

I am looking to purchase a boat (in Japan) and the overwhelming majority of boats in my range are made by Yamaha. Just wondering if any one out there has had any experience sailing them or has heard anything about them in general.

Thanks!!

Seen a couple of Yamaha sail boats - one lives a couple of berths up from me. They have an excellent rep from what I know of them. The one lives near me has done a fair bit of cruising - previous owners cruisers Sally Andrew and Foster Goodfellow sailed from California to Hawaii and points southwest in 1990 aboard FellowShip. They spent the next 12 years voyaging between the islands of the South Pacific

Had a little Yamaha 25. Very solid and well built boat. If you like it, don't be afraid of it.
