Re: filling hole with epoxy - no access to back of hole.

I used a 2 part epoxy putty. You can squash it into the hole and it will splay out on the backface if the gap between the headliner is small. The putty is very hard and you may not even have to drill oversize holes.

Call Jamestown Distributors in Bristol RI. They sell some fittings just for that purpose.
