First Boat

Hi everybody. I'm new to sailing and am looking at a San Juan 26. What are some red flags I should look for when I go to check it out, I can't seem to find much info about this boat. I live in a landlocked state but want to spend a few nights out on the lake with hopes of eventually going down the river and cruise to the FL Keys.

Yeah I read that article earlier and that seems to be all I can really find on it. His is a '75 and asking $5,500 for it. One of the things that appeals to me is the headroom around I am very tall. I'm just wondering if this would be a decent buy or if I should just keep saving money so I can get something newer along with what to specifically look for when I go to see it. Says it got new paint and under coating this year
