Ft. Lauderdale Boat show?

Big show from Nov 1 to Nov 5. Reading the website page I didn't see many sailboat providers listed. Anyone on the forum with experience at this show I would be curious if this is a good one to attend if you are in the market for a mono-hull sailboat in the 40 foot class. I live about 3 hours away but dont really care to drive down if it is mostly power boat oriented. What say you all?

Big power boat show... as in yacht size show. Fun to see, but not for the typical cruiser

Which boat shows, aside from the boat show">Annapolis Boat show, would you rate highly for cruising sailboats? I am of particular interest in boat shows here in the Southeast. Thanks in advance.

Wait for the Miami show. There are some Cats here at the Ft. Lauderdale show, but this is more of a power yacht show.

We went from Canada a few years ago, and there were few sail boats, and the very high ticket items we were not even invited to view. Very elitest.

I went 2 years ago and didn't have a problem getting to see any boat at the show including a couple mega yachts. It's mainly a powerboat show of all sizes from dinghy size up and also has the latest in toys and electronics.

Miami in February and Annapolis in the fall.

Pompano Beach nautical flea market is in January just before the Miami show if you're in the area. Useless for boats, lots of small pieces parts. Worth it if you happen to be in the area anyway.

Thanks I’ll keep that in mind, might be a good place to pick up a sextant?
