Good News!! Your boat may be going up in value?

I laughed so hard upon reading this one.

https://neworleans.craigslist.org/boa/6137285092.html

Live the Dream on a Roomy yacht for pennies on the dollar, great investment gaining value due to the shortage of classic yachts.
Use as a sailboat, motorsailer or as a floating condo, office, vacation retreat or primary residence.
Solid fiberglass construction, sleeps 8 in three different areas. Two heads with shower, fully furnished, diesel engine, sails and all necessary equipment.
Escape to a safe year round resort with plenty of amenities to enjoy, social events, golf, swimming and the metro Atlanta near but not TOO close for comfort. Watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets from your deck. Catch large stripers...even strippers!!
Call for more Henry for more details. Immediate move in possible. Change you lifestyle for the better, now.
Barely sips fuel, more economical than a cruiser or trawler and more stable, no extreme rocking, sails steady boat.

Sorry, No owner financing at this low, low price.

Yep, there is a serious shortage of 1977 classics.

But this line in the ad really got my attention.

Seriously though, not too bad for $23K at a glance. Especially if you like that "classic yacht" look. :-)

Re: Good News!! Your boat may be going up in value?

I've hooked a few "large strippers" in my "fishing" experiences. Most were not "keepers", and were quickly determined to be in the "catch & release" category.

But, regarding this initially attractive boat, and the ad, what is so shunned about this opportunity, why do you guys figure that these ads on this tub have been around for so long, and what cautions would you voice to someone who would "stick one's toes in this water"?

Just Curious,
Aarrrgh!

I will give it credit for a good sales pitch.
