Good Surveyor in Jacksonville, Florida ?

Hello,
I am in great need of a surveyor in the Jacksonville/ St. Augustine area. We are looking at a Westsail 32 in Deland, Florida ( 1975 Westsail Cutter Sail Boat For Sale - www.yachtworld.com ) and need some help. We currently live in Denver and know very little about this individual boat, however, we plan to fly out there soon. The hull number is #228 for anyone who can scurry up some information about this boat. Although we want to live on a slow, beamy, apartment-style monohull, we don't want to have to deal with much osmosis or rot.

Thanks for your help!

-Patrick

I used Gary Frankovich earlier this summer to survey our Hunter 30. I was quite happy with him.

I've used Gary also, and found him knowledgable and thorough.

Thanks everyone. I'm a little torn as to look deeper into this kit-Westsail 32.

I have sent an email to Gary so we will see what happens.

Thanks again, this forum is always offers great help!

You've probably already made your decision, but thougth I'd add, I was very pleased with a survey I recently had done by Noel Miley in that area.

Re: Good Surveyor in Jacksonville, Florida?

Just look at 30 feet Bristol 1973. Kind of "crampy" inside. Need paint. I need a surveyor as this is my first boat. Do not even know how to tie a rope ( not mention the sailing).
It is cheap, but I am worry about the hull. Does any one know of what are the rates for that size boat.

If you are still looking, I have been really happy with Scott Watts out of St. Augustine.

Jim Campbell is very good also. <campbellmarine@clearwire.net> He surveyed our Hunter 37.5 when we bought it a couple of years ago, and he was very thorough.
