Gori Propeller

1988 Bayfield 36
18500 lbs, full keel
Current prop is a 3 blade, unsure of the exact size.

Have an opportunity to purchase a gori 2 blade, formerly on a Beneteau First 37.5, which is about 2000 lbs lighter, and definitely quicker through the water. Question is, will this prop push my boat? I can determine if the shaft size is compatible.

Gori 2 Blade 16.5 x 13.

Not enough information. Prop size grossly depends on displacement, friction, engine, transmission ratio, and number of blades. Then come the fine points. Determine what you've got (assuming it does the job) and then ask a prop shop for a comparable two blade. That'll get you in the right ball park.

Ultimately, it's right if keeps the engine from quite redlining (full power) and doesn't cavitate. If it runs away it's too fine and if it bogs down the engine it's too much.
