Grenada Marinas

I currently have a 46 monohull in charter in the BVIs. Our contract ends in Sept. and we are thinking about sailing her to Grenada for hurricane season. Does anyone know which marinas are the most reputable? Thanks.

Re: Grenada Marinas

We’ve spent time there. The nicest, most convent location is Port Saint Louis. If you are not spending time on the boat, it’s likely not worth paying for those things, however.

I haven’t heard of any of them not being “reputable.”

Re: Grenada Marinas

Take a look on NoForeignLands, there are several reviews of the marinas in Grenada.

While in Grenada we stayed at Port Louis, Clark's Court, and Le Phare Bleu. All have advantages, but the big disadvantage of Le Phare Bleu is when a swell with any southerly component develops. When this happens you will experience very strong surges, and it is far from comfortable. If you stay there, just keep an eye on the weather and leave if the swell turns south.

Clark's Court is very basic, although it does have a restaurant. It's also dinghy distance from a few other restaurant/bars. Most people are there either before haulout or just after launching.

Port Louis is the only place I would leave a boat unattended. It is top notch although the staff can be somewhat indifferent.

There are also Secret Harbor and Whisper Cove marinas, although I have not stayed there.

Cheers!
