Haul out help saint Pete fl.

Haven’t posted in awhile.
Just purchased new to us Jeanneau 519 2017
Kept at the Vinoy marina st Pete

Looking to haul out boat for bottom job and a list of other stuff. Yacht manager has a yard but they don’t allow any work to be done by owner.

Any recommendations on a good yard close that will allow work done by owner. 2 weeks total

Thanks.

Not that this helps you all that much, but it is a data point for you as you develop a plan; most yards in the area no longer allow owner work. Everywhere has been requiring their own labor or they add a fee over and above other subcontract labor you find on your own.

It’s largely driven by insurance these days, but finances play a role as well. I wish you luck in your search, and if you’re able to find one, post it here because I would certainly be interested.

Some of the older reviews on AC mention diy in this yard, but the website doesn’t say either way. I don’t have personal knowledge of them. https://www.blenkerboatworksandmarina.com/

My boat is across the way at Snead Island Boatworks and they are adamant that there’s no diy in the yard.

Not DIY- but if you are looking for a bottom job you are just around the corner from Sailor's Wharf and Embree Marine- both excellent yards and reasonable.

Try shell point marina. They advertise as shaving the largest DIY area in the region.
