How to make a right turn

I have to add a block to my davits to enable a lead to go to an electric winch. The load is not huge (a younger person could do it by hand). It aids me in hauling the heavy end of my 10' RIB with attached 15 HP engine. What is the best way to attach the block to the tubing?

I would probably just lash it on with dymeema. You'd want to inspect it now and then for chafe and UV degradation but it would be easy, cheap, and effective.

Or you could just add a clamp. One benefit is you could add a stand-up spring so it would not rattle, if that was an issue.
