Hunter 335 compression post repair

There is a hunter for sale for a very good price. Called the owner and he says the mast is off boat for compression post repair.

He states the previous owner was a par time racer and overtightened the rigging causing this.

He bought boat last fall, developed cancer, and doesn't have the energy to repair it.

How big of a problem is this? Is this a walk away problem?
