Info, Please, on a '78 Fantasia35 CC

I know, that someone on this board is sailing one ...
nice boats, I agree, but this owner "spoiled" her (in MY view and my surveyor too), with a hard, high dodger / doghouse ...
a very comfortable one, I bet ...

questions: the mast is too low for the boat, which would make it a motorsailer ...
and if so, the engine is too small (30HP) ...
a new 2 y/o engine rusting already?? ...
comes with a dinghy wit 25HP OB ... 25 yes, almost as big as the main engine ...

the boat has been here in a slip for 3 months, but that's what the broker wants us to believe ...
the owners went back to the US, leaving s/v "Galadriel" here ...
those 3 months must be at least 6, if not more ...

I can see though mess, that has to go overboard ...
I can see my stuff ON board, no prolem ...

http://www.curacaoboat.com/eng/for-sale.php?page=1

it's a longkeeler (my preference)

but now, what to offer? ...
will tell you this week, what I plan on offering ...

a good friend (who is an official surveyor for both the USA and Europe, insurances etc ...) left me a note with the qustions I have to ask the broker ...
that email will be sent shortly ...

and one of these days I will go to the marina and take some update pics ...
more than the broker took ...

keep this thread in mind please ...
brb ...

greetz,

I was eyeing a Fantasia 35 in SD, that was back from cruising. It looked to be in decent shape but would need refitting, with running rigging, maybe standing rigging, a paint job, and some new electronics. They started asking $44k and lowered after a few months to $38k, and the ad has disappeared. I was about to go have a look and was thinking of offering, in this market, 30k. Sounds like yours is in worse shape. The thing I was unsure about is head and shoulder room. Let us know how it unfolds. Jon
