Information on Savage ocean is 46 please

Good morning all.....

Thank you in advance for any assistance. I have finally joined this forum as my wife and I are now in serious contention for a cruising yacht. I have been lucky enough to have sailed quite extensively and am a prodigious researcher and have been trying to find out about the Savage Oceanis.

I know they are well regarded, but I am interested in the deck construction. Some information states solid fibreglass and some state cored... but what core? There are a lot of deck penetrations, and I am just a little concerned about rotten core.

Any advice or thoughts on the design for blue water cruising would be most helpful.

In the back of my mind I am also very conscious that an older boat will be harder to insure down the line...
