Irwin Citation Bilge Leak Advice

I have an Irwin 39 Citation with a shoal draft keel with centerboard and have a leak directly into the bilge.

From what I can see, the hull was fully formed, the keel was bolted on, then a hole was cut in the bottom of the hull to access a metal bilge compartment in the keel.

Now there is a very small leak coming from the joint where the metal bilge compartment seals to the bottom of the hull. This allows a couple ounces of water to leak into the bilge box per day.

I would like to just seal this leak from the inside and call it done. From the looks of the "hull to bilge box" connection this has likely been done before in other areas. Does anyone have a drawing on how these keels are attached and can anyone confirm there is no outer seal to this area? If there were it seems like it would have to be in the centerboard compartment?

Note: All the keel bolts look to be in good condition with no leaks around them. No water is penetrating the hull anywhere and there were no visible defects in the hull from the outside.
