Not sure why you say they love customers who get into trouble while insured - doesn’t it cost the insurance company lots in claims payouts and more than they collect in premiums? I would think the type of customers that insurance companies prefer are those who never claim.

I’m guessing it looks worse than it is because of the sharp choppy waves and very exposed position, but those are certainly strong winds. I’d guess 30kts most of the time with a gust over 40 later on if not more. We often get 30-40kts here where I moor but are well secured and nothing like that exposed sea state, so it’s not a big deal although it can be noisy.
