Island Packet 350 what to look for

Wife and I are narrowing the choices for a new boat and a couple of IP 350s are in the lead. We are looking at the 1997-2005 age range and would like some insight about things to look for that are typical fault points/weaknesses or things to consider for the 350.

As always, general recommendations and/or comments are also welcome.

Thank you.

we chartered a 350 and thought the galley was too small compared to the 35. i read that you will need to remove the floors to replace any tanks. the IP chainplates are embedded in FG and not accessible for maintenance.

Gonesail's right. The chainplates are embedded, but have weep holes. Any stains on the inside of the hull, or rusty water dripping out will give you a clue as to whether the owner(s) rebedded the chainplates at the deck exit on a regular basis. I think the whole layout of the 350 is a bit crowded, but that's just opinion, and easy for you to figure out for yourself. If you can swing it financially, the additional room in the 380 makes the boat a lot more livable for long-term cruising, in my opinion.
