Re: Little Harbor 50

Hello all
Been a while since the last update and it's been a busy period over the past 12 months. The Little Harbor is currently in the middle of a full refit from the bottom up and we're excited to be seeing the finish line in sight. During the refit we've found some questionable workmanship from prior refits and we've been able to correct anything that wasn't up to scratch. The list of work is extensive however a brief overview is below :-

New rigging both standing(rod) and running
New teak deck
Fully repainted hull and topsides
Installed stern thruster
Refurbished stainless work
Substantial work to remediate questionable worksmanship internally
New galley appliances
New countertops
New vanity countertops
Ice maker
Chilled/Sparkling water
Watermaker
Refurbished genset
Upgraded helm station
Refurbished winches
Rechromed parts...anything looking tired was rechromed
Refurbished windlass giving bidirectional control from the helm
Fully repainted internally - white panels and high gloss brightwork.
Redesigned switchboard
High capacity batteries
New plumbing
Completely rewired
Redesigned and built electronics and navigation instrument system
Repainted mast and spars
Custom fibreglass pans to wet areas
New electric toilets
New canvas and clears
Review of prior repairs to the hull. Port side damage which was repaired by previous shipwrights has been exposed and inspected and is as bulletproof as the original build....much photographing of this area was done. The original port side fibreglass water tanks have been replaced with stainless tanks....currently considering HDPE tanks but the current tanks are still in excellent condition.

I will have missed some items but suffice to say it's been a mission. The yacht will be an apartment on the water with everything that opens and shuts and the clock will be reset for her. We are thrilled to be able to undertake this project....the pedigree of this yacht is magnificent and we are conscious that we have a very special vessel to work on.
More to follow.
