Actually, it's not that bad! Our Catalina 42 MkII has the pullman, master head forward with shower in the bow and the second head on the starboard side just in front of the starboard aft stateroom. Easy peasy!

Other than the beneteau 411 and catalina mkii, are there any other boats I should consider with those specs? This will be for 4 people (1 couple, 2 singles) doing the world arc.

Thanks!
By 3-berth, I assume you mean 3 separate cabins - not 2 plus the salon.

Many true 3 cabins under 45 feet or so likely have eliminated significant storage to accommodate the 3rd cabin. The Beneteau 423 is an example of that. For charter, the extra cabin is ideal. For a world arc, loss of storage space would be a problem.

You might find that a center cockpit configuration would give you 3 cabins without having sacrificed too much on storage.

If you really mean just 2 double cabins with the salon as the 3rd, check out the Beneteau 423 2-cabin.

The Caliber 38/40/40LRC is a good choice but only two private cabins each with a head. The third person would have to sleep in the salon. The master cabin forward is a pullman.

Sorry. I got lost in my editing and forgot the original criteria - pullman, not v-berth. Scratch the 423.

You might also consider the Island Packet 38/40/44/45. They've got pullmans (or offset berths) and 3 cabins, if you include the salon. However, they may also be a bit slow for your taste.

I've looked at the Beneteau 411 which is similar to the 423. It's a consideration... And yes, I meant 3 full cabin + salon, not 2 cabin. I'm aware of the storage sacrifice which is a real bummer. I'm trying to find more people interested so we could leave on 2 boats as a group instead, but it's really hard to find people my age (mid 20's) willing to leave their careers for a 1.5-2 yr trip like this.

Yes, definitely too slow.
