Looking for a jib for a Beneteau Moorings 38, need dimensions

I'm looking at boats, and found one, but its missing the jib. I'm not planning to race it, but would like a good roller furling sail for easy shorthanded cruising.

Does anyone know the dimensions that would be needed for a Beneteau Moorings 38?

If my memory is correct, a larger jib might be able to be modified to fit if I knew the needed dimensions.

I'm guessing a 130-150% jib would be good. Not sure what weight of cloth I should look for, either.

At the moment I'm just trying to see if I can find something that would work to get an idea for the cost, since a new one looks to be real pricey, ie triple what they were last time I bought one.

Thanks for any info or links...

ideally you'd want to measure your luff if you can, before you buy sails...

yeah if they are close, they can be modified, but the money you spend on modifying will negate any savings of buying a used or cheap sail. Unless you do the mods yourself.

Thanks for the reply

Yes, I would imagine getting any mods made would be 3 or 4 times what it used to be, so I'll look for something very close I guess. A new one looks to be about $3000 with tax, so it adds quite a bit to the cost of the boat, but I see no point buying a boat like that to sail it without a jib. Performance would really suffer.
