Lotus Class Sloop ?

I am trying to get information on the Lotus class sloops in order to determine a range of value for an insurance claim. I have never heard of the class and repeated attempts on the net have come up for naught. The particular boat in question was built by American Marine in 1962. Any information will be appreciated.

American Marine Ltd, Hong Kong, launched their Grand Banks line of powerboats in 1962.
Previously, they were running a “custom” boatyard; hence the “Lotus” may have been a “one-off”, rather than a class or line.
Accordingly, such a boat would have to be “valued” in comparison to equivalent boats. Should you, like I, be unable to provide an expert comparision to boats of similar construction, condition, and age; then you, like I, would be unqualified to provide a “range of value”, and would properly survey the vessel for condition (what works & what doesn’t) and suitability for purpose (and PERHAPS an estimate of cost to refit “to purpose”).

Don't overstep your expertise.

Thanks Gord,

I am trying to do a good man a favor, the boat was dropped off the travel lift in transport and the keel damaged, of course the marina is trying to devalue the boat for insurance purposes. I thought maybe one of the members might have experience with this vessel or could steer me in the proper direction.
