when we installed engine 1 1/2 or so yrs ago , the shaft was uncoupled and recoupled--i donot remember if phillip made the shaft move--it does turn ok.has been brought up that the tube will be bad at the out end as well, but if the dang thing is not pink all the way i would think the bad spot would be that we can see and change the cutlass and go for it with new packing gland? i figgered to put splash zone between the cement and the tube where it comes thru....and glass the tube up to and including the splashzone...

was tortured by a home invasion. they got my nav lights and my invertors and my things i was going to use for refit-- i have to put off my departure and/or head to a yard i can afford --i have the packing gland funds for just exactly that..and i get to replace my stolen items--is hard to run at night without running lights and inverters were for installation and making my boat right...
this is to let folks know i am going to have to postpone.....dammit

omg... i cant believe this...

who or how would they do this... from what i saw when i was there, it seemd that everyone there 'belonged' there.. and knew each other...

the perpetrator(s), would have to do this during the day when you arent there? and they would have to know when you are and arent there...

OMG... i cant believe this... I would be freakin out...

seems they took stuff that wasnt mounted and or easy to grab... did they 'dig thru stuff'? did they look for 'valuable stuff'? or stuff that was easy or stuff they needed?

Keep your eyes open for people selling stuff?

and what are the chances of getting some of your crew to be onboard so the boat isnt left unattended?

Delaying the departure may affect who goes and compound everything...

omg... i am freaking out and it didnt even happen to me...arrrggghhh

What about your guard kitty... Fire her ass!!!!

bubba" told" me who it is.--he gets rowdy when someone who has been inside this boat goes nearby -- he knows stuff i dont. he lets me know--- he did 2 times. i didnt know what he was saying-- now i do. he did it again today-- i know who it is--is a big thief from this bay. doesnt usually steal frominhere. he has family here. cops dont talk to him-- they know he steals. has been for over 20 yrs. no interruption. notghing i can do about it-- have tried. went to bed kast night at 1630 and got out at 0740 today. yeah is stressful. gonna hide some more. .i the bad guy is on the other side of the bay today so is ok for me to go out in car tomorrow to get my mail and stuff. check out the cop dock so i can see if i need to plan this work 2 weeks...were my items i had purchased on sale for installation into this boat at my leisure--speedbump-- we all have em.

and folks wonder why i tarp my boats--looks like nothing on board of value.....

still working on my escape plans......

the tarp could hid someone while they are inside ....

not sure how to protect stuff... damn... I will have a storage locker for all the legal and valuable stuff, but there will alsways be something that can be taken from my or anyone's boat... and there is no way to really protect it... I would hope that in harbors and anchors like yours would be totally secure...

damn...

boats are unfortunately easy to enter. is difficult to make a totally thief pruf entry. kat needs to use pan--therefore is a way to get into boat. pit bullis a good deterrent-- just make sure doesnt eat kat or become friends with the incoming --i like snow leopards, myself-- always wanted one..mebbe i has a good reason now-- except bubba may not like it so much........
just need due diligence-- mebbe toilet train kat.....

flamethrower might help.... but ye gotta see them--no one ever sees anyone....

Fit kitty with a mini cam and you'll have evidence at least.
Imagine someone chasing a cat around a boat trying to get the cam.
You might even get some DNA.

That rots!

Zee, ,since I am new to this forum, I saw your post earlt on but "lost it" Just found it today and was really happy you had found some sort of solution, then; theft. It does something to a person, I remember walking out to my van and finding it gone, Van was nothing but inside was the Hammond B-3 organ That I made my living with. I think I know how you feel. Wish you were closer, but I guess i need to get up to speed on the boat you have. anyway I am truly sorry that happened, looks like the cops are doing the same thing they did for me; nothing. Oh yes I got the van back, I was nice to have A ride to McDonalds for my new job.
You are quite a woman and i am sure you will rise above this.

What a Bumma Zee.... and all the worse for knowing who it is and being unable to do anything about it...
One consolation for being a guy I suppose.... always the option of bleeding all over him if he's bigger than me....
