Re: Merged- Windigo Abandoned. Please Help

You'll likely find that missing keel just a few hundred meters offshore. the funny thing is that hat same thing has happened to two boats in the last year just off St Augustine here. It's a bit of a tricky inlet and all the cruising guides say not to use it in rough weather.

Well, it looks like it's going to need a little work. But, I wish it could talk and tell about the past three months journey.

I can accept no credit for the find at all. My lovely lady found it and posted it on The Trailersailerplace forum, an Aussie based forum which I am on. Then a member on there put a link to this thread and it being a thread that I had not read came and did so. All I have done is transfer the vid from there to here as I thought the owner may wish to see, even though it will probably make him sad.

Coops.

Wouldn't it be great to get the real scoop? I have no doubt they were injured but not incapicitated. The 180 is an obvious fabrication. Scared? Of course.

I still give you credit for bringing it to our attention too! It's not often we get to see where some of these abandoned boats end up.

Saw a story on yesterday's news that Windigo got looted of what was left of her valuables.
Owners naturally VERY distressed.
