Missing 36' sailing boat

Hi all,
Today we got noticed that our sailing boat is missing from her mooring ball in Dinner Key Marina, Miami FL. There was a storm on Nov 15, we were out of town till yesterday and we just noticed it today.
Any info of aground vessels will be highly regarded. Or any tips on how we can find her.
Many thanks
Lorena

Re: Missing 36' sailing boat

Hi all. We found our boat and she's back on her place!!! Thanks for the advice of Gord May we got in contact with Boat Watch, they were very helpful and told us to call Sea Tow Biscayne. We did that and happened that one of their captain had seen the boat, took pictures and coordinates. The boat was in perfect conditions. Thanks to thisForum!!!

Re: Missing 36' sailing boat

BOLO for SV "JO-LU" - Dinner Key - Miami
On November 30, 2023 the owners of SV JO-LU found it missing from its mooring ball in Dinner Key, Miami, Florida. They believe it could have broke loose during a storm about 15 days ago.
The boat is described as a 1981, 36 foot S-2 sailing vessel, green sail covers and Florida registration, FL 0656NE.
Report any sightings to USCG.

UPDATE: November 2:32 PM - Good news. The owner has located the boat in the same area. At the suggestion of Boat Watch, the owner called Sea Tow Biscayne and USCG. Sea Tow advised one of their captains found the boat the other day and photographed it. Sea Tow is now in the process of towing the boat back and the owners are very happy. A big thank you to Sea Tow Biscayne.

The mission of BoatWatch.org is to maintain a worldwide network of resources to aid mariners that are missing or overdue; have a boat stolen; or to whom urgent messages need to be relayed.

It ended up in Biscayne National Park. Fortunately it grounded in sand so there was no damage in the haul. And we were so fortunate that it didn't harm the coral reefs. So the tow service asked for permission to the National Park Guards to tow her out and they said it was ok.
