Monitor windvane wheel adapter

Greetings. Anybody know if the norvane wheel adapter is compatible with the monitor. I know its purpose is the same but would lime to know if the monitor wheel adapter has any special feature compared to the norvane. Thanks for any input.

I haven't used the norvane system, but I think it's similar to the monitor (which we have on our pacific seacraft 37). I'll wager it'll work just the same as the drum on the steering wheel used for the monitor.

These windvanes are great. I'm grappling with a way to put the same thing on our next boat because I'd prefer not to be without it.

I just noticed an Aries wheel adapter for sale last night. It would also work fine. They were asking $250, which is pretty good for that piece of gear. Trouble is, I dont remember if it was on Ebay, or Craigs list. If CL it would have been a west coast port city. Go chasing around the internet. Best of luck. _____Grant.

They all work in a similar fashion but my preference was always the Monitor wheel adapter. My last vane was a new Fleming and I ordered a wheel adapter from Monitor. I liked the ease of engagement as well as the adjust ability .

I just ran across the add again. It is actually listed at $300, and is on San Francisco Craigs List. Just type in wind vane">Aries wind vane and the drum will come up. Good Luck. _____Grant.

The Aires wheel hub is a beautiful piece of equipment. The ease of of operation is not matched anywhere.

Thanks for all the input. I bought a barely used Norvane for 140.00
Stoked on the price and the quality. Waiting for it to arrive to Puerto Rico.
