Monk design schooner 45-50lwl

Hi all,

I’m looking for any design names on monk schooners in the 45-50 foot range

I’m about to close on a 49loa monk schooner however it is a work boat built as a work boat but was from the pen of Monk and originally the design was as a wooden sailing schooner but the plans were adapted by a shipwright and built out of 1/4 inch steel. I’ve already had a survey done that passed with flying colors, however I was trying to find any information on the original yacht design this was based off of. This one was launched in 1989, but the design goes back way further than that.

I know it’s a Monk design, 110% sure about that, just, he built so many models it’s hard to pinpoint this one

The paint is a little rough on this one but that’s the worst of it. For a work boat paints just a consumable item…

I think the original was a yacht but then further designs were made into tuna schooners, this one isn’t set up for sailing but set for commercial salmon trolling… packs 20,000lbs lbs in the hold and has about a 4500-5000 mile fuel range, more if you put barrels of fuel in the fish hold…..
