Post Morgan 43 CC (Looking)

Aloha All,

My friend is looking at a Morgan 43 center cockpit. I've never been aboard one so I'm inviting comments to provide to him. I'd hate to have him make the wrong decision so we're looking for both positive and negative comments.

Kind Regards,

JohnL

Just to keep the question alive. Is there anyone with an opinion?
Kind Regards,

Opinions for best blue water sailers

I am new at sailing and looking for a 41 ft. blue water cruisers. Am confused to what is considered to be a good blue water boat. Have been looking at a Morgan 41 ft and getting lots of different opinions. Would like to hear more or suggestions what to look for.

Excellent coastal boat. A lot of room. I live on the west coast of Florida and have talked with a number of owners that enjoy the boat for cruising Florida, the caribbean and north on the east coast.

No way as a blue water boat. Great liveaboard room and fine for trade winds island hopping/coastal sailing. Get a CAREFUL survey as there are generally significant problems associated with leaky deck joints & hardware attachments unless already attended to by a PO.
Sluggish performace under sail.

Morgan 41- center cockpit. Built like a tank. Rigged and equiped it would be fine for bluewater. Don't know about 43's. Our 41 is now on a circumnav.

Don`t know about the Morgan`s, either good or bad, but I do love centre cockpits! The aft cabin is a major `thumbs up` in my eyes. Good luck.
