Morgan out island 37

Does anyone have any info on a Morgan owners group? I would like to know of any problems that might come up on a 37. Also how is the keel attached?

There are several groups out there. Most are on Facebook. I am not sure about your question though. I have a 41 owners group on MeWe and you are welcome to join. Not a lot of members yet though. Is the 37 set up like the 41? What year is your boat?

Just based off the data sheet it looks like it’s made like my 41. If so it’s a solid molded hull with 7500lbs of lead as ballast in it. Fixed keel. Should be a great boat if the hull is in good shape.

I found out that the keel was in fact encapsulated, which is good. I am hoping the hull is in good shape. It really has everything I needed in a boat. Kinda slow but plenty safe. I wanted a shallow draft. Can't wait until January so I can see her.

Yes you made a good choice! Ours is a 72 and the hull is almost 1” thick. Well made. Solid hull and design. Good shoal draft! Ours pulls 4 ft 2”! Some people don’t think they are a blue water boat and they have some points but for island hopping and coastal cruising I think they are perfect. Well considering I was going to coastal cruise in my Chrysler 26, I think I can sail anywhere I want in the 37.
