Greetings, I am hoping to get some input on the Morris ocean series 46. They claim to be passage makers but most have keels under 6’ and are sloop rigged. Am I missing something. I love the quality and the us build but are they more racers than passage makers. Looking to live and travel on one. Retiring in May and would love to get some input on these creatures. Thanks

Morris 46 OS are God like craft.


And completely NOT racers.


I helped a US guy here in Canary Islands outfit one that he recovered from the Med. An absolutely stunning boat. She was half abandoned by some () who did not know what a boat is. And yet, with sweat, love (and money) we got the boat to fantastic shape in no time. 6 months later he took off and sailed her back to US where he went on with further cosmetics at a posh Ft Lauderdale place.

If you can afford one, if she is sound, get it.


If only to have the other guys salivate ;-)
