Mystery sailboat
I'm looking for some guidance.
I am helping a friend sell a sailboat he acquired. It is a 1980 36' monohull that has been registered as a Morgan. However, the HIN plate does not have a Morgan manufacturer designation (HYI01007080). Morgan's manufacturer ID should be HYA for Heritage Yachts. The HYI ID is for Horizon Yachts a builder of big power yachts. I know Catalina Yachts bought Morgan years ago, but their ID is CTY. We're confused.
So, we're confused. Any help or insight would be appreciated.
