Nauticat Sailboat Owners

I am considering purchasing a Nauticat 44 to be my home for the next 10 years. I really like the 44's layout, and I plan on hosting friends and family as they join me on my retirement dream.


I'm particularly interested in how it works as a liveaboard, any singlehanded sailing experiences, and how stable and steady she is in heavy seas, since I'm planning to spend a couple years on it in the US and then take her to Europe for 4 or 5 years.


Who wants to downsize to a condo when you can downsize to a home that you can untie, sail 20 miles, anchor, drop a crab pot, and have dinner an hour later?


And if anyone knows an online source for the plans for a Nauticat 44, I'd sure like to have them. Thanks!
