Hello all,

After my wife and I completed the first few ASA certifications back in 2009 through a school in San Diego, we decided to start looking for our very own vessel. My brother and his wife had gone to sailing school in 2008 in San Carlos, Mexico. They found a nice Ericson 35 via auction in Alameda, Ca. We visited their boat and stayed on board a few times and fell in love with the SF Bay. We narrowed our search to boats in the Bay Area and found a Columbia 36. The previous owner kept it in the San Leandro marina. Last weekend we moved the boat from there to its new berth in the Alameda marina. We are excited to gain more sailing experience and plan our future adventures.
